Why Should You Use Aromatherapy Soy Candles

By Alba Durham

The several olfactory benefits of a scented candle have long been known and recognized. This can create a serene and relaxing environment. However, you must remember that not all scented candles are equal. Even the component used in making the taper may differ. Some are made from paraffin wax while the others are aromatherapy soy candles. It is best to choose the latter for numerous reasons...

Soybean wax burns cleaner as opposed to the paraffin wax. This is non-toxic as it does not contain petrol-carbon. The soy candle uses natural cotton wicks instead of using petroleum-based products. Hence, it burns cleanly without releasing harmful smokes into the air, making it a safer alternative.

Paraffin wax is also the culprit for black ceilings, walls or furniture. It emits soot that can damage the appearance of your fixtures. Not only that, it may also contaminate the household's ductwork and add up to the toxic carcinogens everyone breathes in. These toxins are accumulated in the lungs, which is extremely dangerous to anyone's health, most especially to those with respiratory tract issues.

Moreover, soybeans are renewable source. This is not like the paraffin wax which is composed of petroleum. In the production of paraffin wax, petroleum have to be extracted. Over time, this resource may run out. As an added benefit, buying soybean products can add to the economic growth the country's agricultural sector.

This is a biodegradable material, too. Soybeans are vegetables. Hence, they naturally rot without causing adverse effects like pollution. This seemingly small gesture echoes a lot in the drive to conserve the environment because of its current condition. As insignificant as it may seem, this is one small step in addressing the growing problem that is haunting the present society.

It is much easier to remove soy wax from any material or surface as well. There were occurrences of molten paraffin wax causing accidents in the past. Removing the spilled wax is quite a hard work as well. Luckily, soybean wax is easier to deal with. With warm water and some soap, it is easier to scrape off and remove the spillage.

Ultimately, the edge of soybean wax is its value. Predictably, a soy candle costs less than the traditional candles. This is because the main ingredient used in making paraffin wax has to be imported from other countries while soybeans are readily available within the country. Not to mention the record-setting prices of oil and other petroleum products.

The production and manufacturing of soy candles is less expensive because the ingredients are available locally. It does not require as much capital as processing abroad. Not only does it lower down the production cost and retail price, but it also helps with the local economy. In the end, you do not need to spend a lot just for tapers.

In several cases, a consumer may make blind choices. You may unwittingly pick one product without making serious considerations. Overlooking this minor error may actually pose great threats to your family's health and welfare. Make it a point to always check the labels when buying tapers and choose only aromatherapy soy candles. They are safe, environment-friendly and cost-efficient. Do not be pitched with overwhelming descriptions that are actually harmful to your health.
